New Dialogues

Overview

This film is a collaboration between designer Anthony Burrill, animator Paul Plowman and music by Acid Washed. The piece was commissioned by Cranbrook Academy of Art for the group show ‘No Object is an Island: New Dialogues’. 50 contemporary designers and artists were paired with select works from its permanent collection. ‘Hello Mr Stella’ is an animated interpretation of Frank Stella’s ‘Takht-i-Sulayman Variation I’ (1969), from the ‘Protractor Series’.
