Edd co-runs the The Sustainable Darkroom, the world’s first charity pioneering low-toxic alternatives to photographic materials. Founded by Hannah Fletcher in 2019, the project reimagines the photographic darkroom as an environmentally conscious space. Through workshops, residencies, and collaborative research, The Sustainable Darkroom challenges the ecological impact of traditional photographic processes, advocating for innovative, plant-based, and waste-reducing approaches that support a more sustainable future for the medium.
Selected collaborators include: Hong Kong International Photo Festival, V&A London, RIT New York, Endangered Species Coalition, Washington D.C, Royal College of Art London, The Science Gallery, Bengaluru, University Arts London.
