Matt Furie was invited by Darren Aronofsky to be part of an exhibition to accompany the film director’s latest movie, Noah. Alongside FAILE, James Jean, and other artists, Matt created Animal Planet (above) for the exhibition, which launched in New York and toured the United States. As Aronofsky explains, ‘I was curious what other minds would come up with if they tried to represent the original (Noah’s ark) story. So I decided to reach out to my favorite artists and ask each of them to return to Genesis and create something in his or her own medium. The response was overwhelming.’
