Public art installationOverview
Inspired by the neighbourhood’s scenic harbour, Andy Rementer designed Ocean Friends, a large-scale sculpture park for Tsuen Wan, part of the Design District in Hong Kong.
Ocean Friends echoes the maritime theme of Tsuen Wan Park and the centrepiece features a 15 metre blue whale with working blowhole. Surrounding the whale are lively and engaging human-sized characters and “ocean friends” infused with Rementer’s distinct sense of humour and a playful and light-hearted touch.
