Alison Goldfrapp

Overview

We creative directed all visual aspects of Alison Goldrapp’s newly launched solo career including artwork, videos and press imagery. The centrepiece of the project are four motion pieces that combine traditional film techniques with AI and serve as a meditation on the transformative nature of identity and fabrications of the physical self.

The series of 60-second AI-manipulated video vignettes illustrate the visual story of the album. Alison was filmed against rendered LED backdrops that reflect the themes covered across the album – nature, artifice and a surrender to the surreal.  Next, the footage was treated with a range of AI techniques to create extreme fluctuations on a spectrum that glides towards radical fantasy. The result is a mythical world that is both powerful and fragile.
